A Bradford Band ..Born and Bred!

Posted 29th April 2016

Bradford Indy band Kascarade are gearing up to launch their new album “The start of it all” at a gig at the Delius Arts & Cultural Centre, Great Horton Road, on Saturday 30th April.

The band, formed five years ago, will be playing the full list of tracks from the album which has been made possible thanks to funding support from Brighouse-based metalworking firm Arkoni.

The new album cover has been released and features a night time view of Godwin Street in Bradford City Centre looking towards the Odeon building.

Lead vocalist Maf Milnes, one of the band’s founding members, commented “We’re Bradford born and bred and have always been proud of that fact.

“The album features a number of songs directly relevant to the city and we opted for an image that reflects the fast changing pace of life of Bradford.

“We’ve spent the last five years building up a solid portfolio of songs and performing at many iconic music venues and festivals across Yorkshire. We’ve been working on the album for around a year at our Thornton Road studios and we’re delighted with it. We hope it will go down well!

“It’s great to have the financial support of Arkoni. It’s allowed us to acquire the latest sound recording technology which adds a real professional edge to the whole project.

“We’d love 2016 to be our breakthrough year and are actively talking with festivals, promoters and record producers with a view to increasing our profile. I’m biased but I believe we put out some great music and we just want to share it with a wider audience,” added Maf.

A few tickets still remain for “The Start of it all” priced at £5 from www.kascarade.com
